Mechelen (Belgium), October 2024 – ONE PASSION is back! After the overwhelming success of the 20th edition in 2023, the well-known passion play returns to Mechelen’s beautiful Beguinage Church. In 2025, you will experience an even more impressive story, in which music, images and text come together to create a unique experience.
A Passion for Everyone
The passion play is more accessible to everyone than ever. We are expanding to eight performances and giving the story a universal twist. Whether you are a believer or not, young or old, regardless of origin, creed, age, skin colour, disability or orientation. With this project, we want as much as possible everyone can relate to the emotions and challenges addressed.
Will you be our New Star?
To realise this ambition, we are looking for passionate volunteers. Have you always wanted to act in a play or contribute behind the scenes? Then this is your chance! Together, we will create an unforgettable performance.
“Everyone is welcome to help support this project, regardless of origin, religion, age, skin colour, disability or orientation. With this project, we want to bring together as many forms of passion from as many communities as possible , to make it as universal and recognisable as possible for everyone. ” says Willem Verheyden
