Mechelen on Fire and Flame: Winter in Mechelen (Belgium) will be extra atmospheric this year. The popular event and crowd puller returns and promises an unforgettable experience for young and old. Over three weekends, the city will be transformed into a fairytale winter wonderland, where fire and light play the leading role.

Three Locations, one Magical Experience
The free city festival kicks off on 6 and 7 December in the enchanting Tivoli Park. With a mix of musical fire receptions, atmospheric light projections and impressive fire performances, this is the ideal place to seek winter warmth. The spectacle then moves to Hombeek’s charming village centre on 13 and 14 December. Here, local associations and catering establishments join forces to welcome visitors with heart-warming winter drinks and entertaining activities. The festival concludes in Mechelen’s historic city centre on 20 and 21 December, where a varied programme of fire-breathing dragons, flea circuses and a grand finale on the Grote Markt awaits.
